Feb 26, 2025

The POMtec 2025 Palm Oil Management, Technology, Exhibition & Conference, organized by the Sarawak Oil Palm Plantation Owners Association (SOPPOA), took place on February 18-19, 2025 in Malaysia. As a significant event for the palm oil industry, POMtec 2025 gathered global industry experts, industry leading companies and participants to discuss the latest developments and market trends. IAS, as one of the key exhibitors, successfully showcased its cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions, attracting significant attention.

POMtec 2025 focused on addressing the growing global demand for sustainable palm oil production, emphasizing technology-driven solutions and advancements in the industry's supply chain management practices. The event featured several keynote speeches from representatives of government agencies, universities, research institutes, and private companies, exploring key aspects of the palm oil sector. The conference drew a diverse group of industry participants, including plantation owners, palm oil processors, refiners, researchers, entrepreneurs, and suppliers of related products and services.

The IAS-6100 Portable NIR Analyzer, exhibited by IAS, was a key highlight at the event. YB Dato Sri Dr. Stephen Rundi Anak Utom, Minister of Food Industry, Commodities and Regional Development of Malaysia, visited the IAS booth, where he engaged in disucssions and expressed keen interest in the device. The IAS-6100 leverages advanced digital exposure spectroscopy technology to deliver exceptional sensitivity and accuracy in a compact, integrated design. Specifically developed for rapid analysis, it is optimized for small particles, powders, strips, pastes, and various other samples. Capable of detecting free fatty acids, moisture, DOBI, oil content, and other critical parameters in crude palm oil, palm kernels, palm kernel meal, and production waste, the IAS-6100 serves as a highly efficient and precise analytical tool for the palm oil industry.

IAS' participation in the exhibition not only showcased its technical expertise in the palm oil industry but also reinforced its commitment to sustainable sector development. Through advanced testing equipment and solutions, IAS empowers industry players to enhance production efficiency, optimize resource utilization, and support a greener supply chain. Moving forward, IAS remains dedicated to technological innovation and will continue collaborating with global partners to drive the palm oil industry toward greater efficiency and sustainability.
